Our health story
We have farmed and eaten organic food for many years, and have run a health food business since 2003. The birth of a baby boy in 2019, who was born with severe allergies and skin problems prompted us to search for cures for his conditions. We found a low histamine diet was particularly helpful for this baby, and so we started to butcher and freeze some of our grass fed beef and free range chicken immediately they were slaughtered to minimise the build up of histamine for his weaning diet. At the same time another family member developed Long Covid symptoms and found the reduction of histamine in their diet was helpful for their recovery and so we developed more low histamine cuts to suit their needs. We continue to explore the health benefits of including healthy meats, organ meats, fats and bones in the diet.
